Vita Coco Drinks

Ever since we started weaning C he has been obsessed with flavours. Now he's a fully fledged toddler and chatting away, he loves asking for things with his favourite being, "Juice? Drink of juice?" He's not a big fan of water on its own so I do add squash. When Vita Coco got in contact with me about C trying their flavoured coconut water, I jumped at the chance. I was a little anxious as it would be completely new to him but he usually does give everything a go.

We were lucky enough to receive five 330ml cartons in:
  • Natural coconut water
  • Natural coconut water with peach & mango
  • Natural coconut water lemonade
  • Natural coconut water with pineapple
  • Natural coconut water with orange

I'd never tried coconut water before so I wasn't too sure what to expect. I tried the unflavoured one first just to see what I was letting myself in for. It was an odd taste but not horrible.

Next up, we tried the Lemonade one and it was delicious! C and I finished it between us and couldn't wait to try the rest. They all have a hint of flavour but it isn't overpowering.

Vita Coco drinks are never made from concentrate. They pick, crack and pack fresh young coconuts. When they are cleaned, the water is flash pasteurised (with fruit purée added to the flavoured ones) and poured into shelf-stable Tetra-Pak. The entire process never takes over 72 hours so you know what you are drinking is fresh.

The Peach & Mango was probably my favourite flavour and C seemed to like them too. They also do a range, Vita Coco Kids, specifically for children so I definitely think they will be added to our weekly shop.

The 330ml cartons retail at £1.85 each or £4.99 for a 4 pack and they are available at most leading supermarkets. You can also see their list of stockists.

You can find out more about Vita Coco on their website or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

I keep meaning to try these! They sound like something my girls would love.
