What We're Reading: You... by Emma Dodd

C and I are a huge fan of the Emma Dodd books.

This little book follows two monkeys; a parent and child and it's all about focusing on how the baby monkey has someone who loves him more and more everyday.

C loves to read it and would sometimes have me repeat it over and over again. I like the fact that it rhymes too as that captures his attention alongside the bright colours of the illustrations. Monkeys are C's favourite animal so that's a huge plus too. It's a relatively short book so he doesn't lose interest quickly and I do hope that, even though he is still little, he can see the similarities in the story of how myself (or his daddy) and the parent monkey and baby monkey are similar with regards to feelings.

This book retails at £4.99 and is suitable for children aged 12 months+.
