Vileda Magic Mop Flat - Review

Keeping my house clean and tidy with two children who are soon to be 1 and 3 is a mean feat! I Hoover about three times a day and now that E is crawling around constantly, my floors need to be spotless as any little bit of dirt will end up on E's knees!

Vileda sent us one of their Magic Mop Flats to try out and I was really excited to give it a go. I've only ever used the bog standard mop so I was hoping this would be a nice change.

The mop handle is a great length for both me and Chris to use (he is a little taller than me and he had no problems). We have been using it with our regular mop bucket and it fits well. Wringing it out is simple. You just need to push down on the lever and the mop folds itself in half, wringing out any excess water, then you pull it back up to revert it to the flat head.

Using the Vileda Magic Mop Flat has made cleaning my floors a breeze and the shape of the mop makes it a lot easier to clean along areas such as the skirting board. With stubborn stains, you do need to give it a bit of elbow grease to remove it but all in all, I am totally impressed with the mop. The non-scratch rubber works wonders! When I mop my living room floors, I only need to dunk it back in the mop bucket once to cover the entire room due to the large flat head! As if that wasn't enough, it has 3D grooved foam so you can clean uneven surfaces.

As you can fold the bottom in half, it easy to store too. The foam can be removed and you can purchase additional ones for when you have used it to death! I think this is great as you don't need to bin the whole thing and buy a completely new mop.

The Vileda Magic Mop Flat retails at £8.00 at Tesco but you can find a full list of stockists at the Vileda website. You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter
