Bambeado Baltic Amber Teething Necklace - Review

A few weeks ago, I received an email in my inbox about reviewing an amber teething necklace from New Zealand company Bambeado. I was a bit ignorant at first and thought that they only really worked for small babies but with E getting her molars through, I thought it was worth a try to see if it would alleviate the pains from teething. I had a closer read of the different types of amber page on the website and chose the Child's Amber Bean Necklace in Honey (RRP NZD $49), mainly because I liked the colour and shape of the beads.

When it arrived, I was eager to see if the size was right. The necklaces come in 33cm or 37cm but I thought the 37 was perfect for two year old E. She loved it herself and couldn't wait to put it on. I think she felt a bit grown up! I love that it screws on, I imagine clasp necklaces would be a bit of a faff with a toddler or baby.

The first day she wore it, she actually cried because I took it off her for bedtime and first thing in the morning she asked for her "necka-nace". This continued every day - the asking to wear it, not the crying! - so I'm not sure whether she really liked it or she found it a comfort. I'd like to think it was the latter. She still did drool quite a lot which in understandable but she didn't complain that her mouth was sore or overly ask for dummy which is a total win.

Bambeado do a huge range of baltic amber jewellery. You can choose children's sized necklaces, pendants, anklets or bracelets as well as adults necklaces, pendants and bracelets. These come in many different bead shapes and colours so you are sure to find one that suits you. In addition to this, you can find silicone jewellery for adults to wear for babies to chew on.

You can take a look at the full range at the Bambeado website and you can follow on Facebook and Twitter
